Adults need fairy tales in their lives no less than children. After all, on New Year’s Eve each of us wants to believe in miracles and enjoy the festive atmosphere. In search of just that, the MARGO RAFFAELLI team visited the newly-opened YANA JEWELLERY showroom.
Cameos and tassels
Yana Raskovalova, the owner and inspirer of the brand, created her first fully valid collection in 2011. Unlike most Russian jewelry brands, Yana’s jewelry is recognizable at a glance. The designer has two identities — cameos and diamond tassels. She met the first ones at the Hermitage during her fashion designer studies in her native St. Petersburg. After these miniature pieces were dedicated to her very first collection. The second ones are found at YANA in the form of earrings, transformable necklaces, slave-bracelets, and an absolute bestseller, pinky rings.
Winter and frost
The latest collection of the brand is dedicated to winter and frost flowers. Snowflake earrings with long pearl tassels, a choker with pendants in the form of ice-like aquamarines, and a dragonfly brooch as it was wrapped by rime and thus easily immersed in the New Year atmosphere. Despite its apparent simplicity, they are technically complex and designed taking anatomical features into account. That is why you stop feeling it just a few minutes later.
A game without rules
By Raskovalova’s personal conviction, jewelry should be delicate. Also it should allow the woman to wear it when she is both at a tea party with friends or for the perfect look at an evening reception. There are also statement pieces in her collection, intended for special occasions. But they make no more than 10% of the whole range. The vast majority of products can be perfectly combined with each other and form interesting ensembles. After all, there are no rules for wearing them. The main thing is to be in harmony with your own perception of the world and to toe the mark of your feelings.
