Boldness… Perfection… Infinity… It is difficult to describe the style of Bvlgari in one word. Celebrating its 130th anniversary two years ago, the Italian House remains faithful to its traditions. The company continues to delight fans with its signature motifs and colors in jewelery. Since then, the Russian customers of the brand have remained among the most loyal in the world. And jewelers from Rome made a special gesture by bringing a couture selection of one-of-a-kind pieces to the capital’s flagship at Petrovka.
What is so good about it?
The first thing to note is a great selection of stones. For example, in the Blue Iridescent necklace with a pattern resembling bunches of grapes, the total weight of the sapphires is 187.48 cts; the spinels, 81.13 cts; and the diamonds, 24.75 cts. Meanwhile, the Sparkling Hearts necklace, ring and earrings contain more than twenty carats of Burmese rubies and more than thirty carats of diamonds. By the way, thanks to a secret mechanism, the pendant from the Sparkling Hearts necklace can unfasten and be transformed into a brooch.
The second important thing about this selection is the historically important motives of the House. You can see the famous snakes from Serpenti. One is a full diamond model as well as with inlays of precious wood. Another is a short Monete necklace with an antique coin. To catch such items of such a high rank, especially in Moscow, is a great success. As today they are sold only at auctions. It’s said that Nicola Bulgari originally wanted to keep a bronze coin dating back to 161-180 years BC in his own collection. But after much persuasion he gave it to jewelers with an eye to produce an exclusive piece of jewelry for the boutique in Moscow.
And, finally, the “riot of color”, without which the Roman House simply does not exist. For example, in La Dolce Vita necklace and earrings the designers mixed tourmalines, pearls, emeralds, turquoise and diamonds — and the result is just fascinating!
